Metallized Polyester and Polypropylene Film

Metallizing, or depositing an ion thin layer of metal onto a substrate, is achieved by running film through what is known as a " metallizer ".

The result is a metallic-looking film with good barrier properties.  Barrier properties are a function of the thickness of the metallic layer and inherent properties of the film substrate.

Metallized polyester is often used as a layer of a lamination.
